Photogenic

My Face is Not Photgenic, Oh My God I hate my photographs, My profile photos are always Bad.

These are common remarks by our patients.
How ever most of them come to us for problems of Nose or lips like : I think my nose is too big / not prominent / the nose is small or oh my nose is very broad. My lips are too thick. Look at my lower lip it just hangs out / My lips are so thin there is no place to put Lipstic.

Most of us find some of our Photographs unattractive, (This can't be me).
Why is it so???? The fact is that Camera catches the minor imperfections in the face which normally we are unable to notice. The great artist Leonardo da vinci made some rules to draw a good looking face. There fore a face drawn by an artists look attractive.

The same proportions are being followed by plastic surgeons to find out what is wrong in the face and then correct it so that you can have a proportionate face which automatically becomes aphotogenic face.

Almost al of us have minor imperfections but if these are significant it is noticed and can lead to un attractive photographs or a bad smile.
Example s are :
A small chin will show prominently in profile, the lower lip will appears big and the nose appears bigger than it is. A simple correction can produce dramatic change as seen in photo below.

Similarly some depression or less developed mid face will give sad appearance, a gummy smile and correction n this area of face can transform looks.

Nose is the most commonly corrected part of body and during the consultation such other minor problems are diagnosed and are simultaneously corrected leading to much pleasant and photogenic face .
